A truly great book because of the plot, the characters, the feelings, and most importantly the mystery. I felt as though their issues were described on a very surface level and nothing went deeper than that. The things Goldy does to try to solve a mystery have always been a bit too much, but in this book she went way over the top (it amazes me how often her husband and the entire police force simply turn their heads as Goldy breaks law after law).In the UK, the standard for products is extremely high, therefore tonnes of otherwise-perfect produce are being rejected and wasted.

One of the ways that Rao illuminates this framework is by examining the ways that men and women (don’t) take up space in their homes.A husband’s unemployment is experienced as a big problem that needs to be rectified, while a wife’s unemployment is experienced as an opportunity for her to spend more time at home—even when she is the primary earner. The friendships and relationships all changed and it was kind of this intense shit show that I was not expecting to happen. This was definitely the worst one in the series, usually I find Goldy's antics mildly entertaining, but in this drama they were over the top and downright stupid. I did like that we got the novel from everyone's perspective, I thought that was a really cool thing to do. India’s response through an airstrike, 80 kilometers deep inside Pakistan, was a well thought out and controlled action, which had the Modi-Doval stamp in conformity with the new doctrine of Offensive Defence.
